Ignite your career in sport by attending Velocity Football’s open evening

Are you aged between 16 and 23? Do you have a passion for sport and are considering a career in the industry?

If you answered yes to both of those questions, why not attend Velocity Football’s open evening this week hosted jointly with our apprenticeship team, Ignite Sport!

Starting at 6.30pm on Wednesday, February 9, at the Velocity Stadium in Marston – home of Oxford City Football Club – the evening will provide a practical insight into the education provisions both organisations provide including:

  • Higher education courses
  • Apprenticeships

Velocity tutors and coaches will present the programme and discuss all avenues people can explore with input from our head office and student support team too.

The evening will help visitors to grasp a better understanding of the career options and opportunities our educational programmes and courses can facilitate via a blended learning approach.

“Velocity Football provides students with a proven development pathway to fulfil a rewarding career in sport or further their education via an apprenticeship or university,” said Justin.

“Students at Velocity arrive with a wide variety of career ambitions. Some are determined to pursue their dream of becoming a professional footballer, while others want to explore careers in coaching, teaching, sports psychology, physiotherapy, or the media.

“Ability is never a barrier to individuals wishing to study our programme with several training and playing squads established so students can play in an environment which is comfortable for them.

“By combining studies and full-time training sessions with access to the latest technology, learners are able to reach their full potential on and off the pitch. We also specialise in the delivery of coaching, teaching, marketing and content production apprenticeships from Level 2 intermediate to Level 5 higher.

“It means we can offer apprenticeships to people at all stages of their careers, including those currently employed looking to upskill and develop existing qualities.”

If you’re interested in attending this Wednesday’s open evening, there is still time to reserve your space.

Booking can be confirmed by calling the Velocity Football team direct via 0300 303 0809 or you can email [email protected].
